Government College Ropar
On the fifth day of the Civil Defence Training Programme at Government College, Ropar, the morning session began with a motivational video highlighting India’s air defence systems and national security preparedness. Principal Sardar Jatinder Singh Gill visited the training session, appreciated the enthusiasm of the volunteers, and praised the efforts of the Civil Defence Rupnagar team and government initiatives in disaster management.
In the second session, the 7th Battalion NDRF, Laddowal (Ludhiana) team led by Sub-Inspector Ashish Kumar, Head Constable Pradeep Kumar, Constable Vikas Kaushal, Constable Anil and team delivered a detailed lecture on building collapse operations. They demonstrated rescue techniques, use of cutting tools, debris removal, victim identification, and search-and-rescue methods through both theoretical and practical drills.
In the post-lunch session, Prof. Jagpal, NCC Officer, Government College Nangal, delivered a motivational lecture on the importance of Civil Defence training. This was followed by a lecture and practical session on Search and Rescue operations conducted by the Civil Defence Rupnagar team, where volunteers actively participated and gained hands-on experience.
