International Youth Day Celebration at Government College Ropar

Date 12 August, 2025 Under the leadership of Principal Sardar Jatinder Singh Gill, the Red Ribbon Unit, Rotaract Club and NSS Units of Government College Ropar celebrated International Youth Day with enthusiastic participation from schools and colleges across Ropar. The program included slogan writing (for college students) and speech competitions (for school students), with winners awarded certificates.

The event featured inspiring talks by Chief Guest Dr. Arun Kumar (Dean, Student Affairs, IIT Ropar), Guest of Honour Dr. BPS Parmar (Medical Director, Parmar Hospital), and Dr. Nirmal Singh Brar (Government College Ropar), who highlighted youth’s role in nation-building, health, and holistic growth.

Students also witnessed the live address of Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, which deeply motivated them. The event proved a grand success, celebrating youth spirit and encouraging their active contribution toward a developed India.
