The fourth day of the Seven-Day Civil Defence Training Programme was conducted on 30 January 2026 at Government College, Rupnagar.
In the morning session, a motivational video on India’s Air Defence System was shown. This was followed by a CBRN lecture session conducted by the ITBP team, where volunteers were briefed about Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) hazards.
In the second session, practical training on CBRN was conducted. Volunteers were trained in detail on wearing CBRN protective kits, and a simulated dangerous zone was created on the ground to provide hands-on practical exposure.
In the afternoon session, Dr. Aarti Verma, Anesthesia and Critical Care Specialist, along with her medical team from Civil Hospital, Rupnagar, conducted training on handling accident victims, patient care, and CPR, including practical demonstrations.
Overall, the day focused on CBRN awareness, practical preparedness, first aid, and life-saving skills for Civil Defence volunteers.
