Welcome to Government College Department : Zoology

Introduction

Zoology department was established in 1951. Department demonstrated a broad understanding of animal diversity, including knowledge of the scientific classification and evolutionary relationships of major group of animals. This department imparts knowledge of relationship between the biological organisation of molecules, cells, organs, organism, population and species.

Vision

To endeavour students to develop a wholesome knowledge about the relationship of living organism how animals function and interact with respect to biological, chemical and physical processes in natural and impacted environments.

Mission

  • The Mission of the department is to provide an environment that lays emphasis on intellectual growth in which every student discovers and realizes his/her full potential and highest academic standards are achieved;
  • Where emphasis is laid on integrity, ethics, moral courage, hard work, responsibility and self-discipline;
